Hey, Guys!
Yesterday I did some test laps with the new F1 Hybdrid X 2021 Car for Assetto Corsa in Catalunya to get into the mood of the upcoming new F1 Season !
Just to Point out one thing: the engine sound alone is just mindblowing!
If you wanna see, what the near future of F1 may be, than go here and watch the video :https://www.youtube....uFUbU5P8&t=266s.
Thank you everybody and enjoy!

Hybrid cars, street or race, are a dead end technology. Once a single battery charge can provide equivalent performance and range of a tank of gas there will be no need for them. Seventy years ago millions of dollars were spent on hybrid aircraft - a piston engine for cruising and a jet engine for bursts of speed; once jet engines were more reliable and efficient the hybrid designs were relegated to museums (https://en.wikipedia...i/Curtiss_XF15C).

Formula 1 launches Virtual Grand Prix Series to replace postponed races
"Due to the wide variety of gaming skill levels amongst the drivers, game settings will be configured in such a way to encourage competitive and entertaining racing. This includes running equal car performance with fixed setups, reduced vehicle damage, and optional anti-lock brakes and traction control for those less familiar with the game."

I guess this might actually be better to watch than nowadays RL races.

I'll stick to Indycar, at least they stay as close as possible to the real physics while taking on non schedule tracks.

Not exactly what I'd been predicting - drivers in sim cockpits in their air-conditioned suites piloting the cars via radio control. Though they wouldn't even need to go to the track, they could "work at home".
Years ago ICR2 was used by actual teams for drivers to practice at the street courses such as Long Beach and Surfers' Paradise. And Dale Earnhardt Jr. said N2k3 was useful for learning the tracks, particularly road courses; he also stated the BGN physics were closer to actual Cup cars than the sim's Cup physics.
