So I've done a first fresh install on my newly purchased XP desktop, of NASCAR Legends. With an Nvidia Geforce gtx 660 graphics card.

After install the game runs on direct 3d, but on track, in the car, there's is flickering graphics. On glide option it won't even run, even though I've put the glide dll's in the games Dir and the Windows system folder.

So I'm reduced to running the game on Software mode. Which is okay but I would prefer direct 3d.

I've also tried reducing my desktop resolution and tried to run on 16bit desktop, as well as compatibility mode and running game on 640x480 tick box resolution in properties. There must be a conflict with the graphics card 🤔

If anybody as any ideas to solve this issue, it would be warmly appreciated 😁👍

Have you tried using nGlide? With nGlide i am able to run Need for Speed 5 on Windows 7 with a Geforce 1070 without any problems.
Download can be found here: https://www.zeus-soft...ownloads/nglide
Hope this helps.

Thanks Yves staub.

I've used the glide dll's before and they are fantastic.

Unfortunately that was on my other laptops with various OS.

I'm trying to run the game on my xp desktop. For some reason the glide dll's (put in game dir and system folders) and manipulated through the glide console, are not working and therefore conflicting with my desktop. So nothings working on my machine. Why? 🤔 Worked on my other OS and laptops 🤔

So I've tried the glide option but it's a no go. Guess I'll have to run the game on software mode 😠😠 Unless I can get glide to work, or find another alternative 🤔

Thanks again 👍

Glide is for 3dfx cards. 3dfx went out of business in the year 2000. Your desktop's graphics card is from 2012 so it won't work.
