It looks great, and is really fun and quite challenging to drive.
Just about perfect!

I checked the detail files in the Car55 / eagle directory (the Maserati car sub file) and all seems to be in order. I even opened up the 3do and mip files and could find no problems?
I have previously built individual line ups (driv55.ini files) for other 1955 tracks without problems ... my only conclusion is that there is something amiss in the track file?
I am stumped ... HELP!
Roger
First off big thanks to Ginetto and Greg for the work in creating this historical beauty.
I have only just gotten around to installing it. I got the same problems as Roger. The six Maserati cars were not loading the correct skin. Also there was a similar issue with Harry Schell's Ferrari.
Roger's solution pointed me in the right direction. When installing the Torino car files, I noticed that Bira's no. 14 3DO file already existed. This one worked correctly (showing Bira's blue car skin rather than the red default). Compared them in Racecon and I spotted the difference.

Changed this value fromj "eagle" to "maserati" for the six Torino Maserati 3DOs and all the cars appeared with the correct skins.
Except Harry Schell's Ferrari 625. Looking at his 3DO in Racecon, I spotted that the following files were missing from the c08 folder.
SCHarms.mip
SCHface.mip
SCHhand.mip
SCHhelm.mip
SCHsuit.mip
They were present in the Ferrari (555) folder. So I copied these five files into the c08 folder and that resolved the problem.

Please try this version 4 of the Torino 1955 carset and track-specific driver file.
(Must have 55 Mod Race Specific Carsets installed before adding this) - https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...t=0#entry127832
I believe that I have the AI Maserati 3do files corrected. Also, added the Schell mip files to the c08 (Ferrari 625) car folder.
Thanks, webfoot!

Greg,
Good to hear from you, I solved the problem by renaming old 3DOs for the same drivers and inserting the proper MIPS. But thank for your efforts, The 55s are really great to drive and race.
I just switched to right foot braking and all that goes with it. Using the clutch and finding the right gear on the shifter, is a whole new experience. I've had to initially resort to sequenced shifting as I'm struggling with H pattern, Fairshift, and GEM 2 conflicts; I guess I needed some new challenges for the long winter.
Hope you are doing well,
Best Roger

I cannot find the photo that I used for this carskin, but here is Bira at the 1955 Silverstone BRDC International Trophy race. Note the solid light-blue car color. This race occurred about a month after Torino. Later races in the year shows his car with the yellow strip along the bottom.

But as side note, just to inform, I encounter cars' issues as widely explained in the thread despite updated specific carset; moreover, a couple of seconds after the track and cars are loaded I have a CTD, unless I first load another track, then exit to menu and load Torino. No clues atm about the reason why, just I guess that something went wrong or missing along the way in my installation. So I'm forced to use the track with standard/general AI cars, not a problem indeed.

Hello Greg.
Seems I'm trolling here around again - just for a while, I hope - bothering you all with life's troubles and GPL too. Glad to meet you again after so long time anyway, moreover in this hard period
Thanks for reply and help, but seems that the issue is related to something missing; so after wandering a bit here in the forum, I've found your 55mod specific carsets collection, that I was not aware of... don't ask me why, since in those times I was here around daily... so I've installed that, reinstalled the Torino/Valentino carset again, and now everything seems working smooth! Evidently I've completely overlooked the fact that the carset collection includes relevant and necessary files to have torino one working properly too, otherwise just the specific carset for this track doesn't include everything.

Thank you for the info that the 55Mod Race Specific Carsets must be installed for the Torino 1955 Carset to work.
I've added a note in the download Post #64.

After some more brief tests that seems to be the hidden reason why some people have all up and working properly, some other like me experimented a lot of things screwed, depending on the fact you already have the complete carset installed or not.
Mistery solved and case closed!

However, would there happen to be a lite / server version available?
Cheers,
Dave.
