Now now you two!!    You know we can't say things like that anymore!      Those days are gone.

Anyway, thanks to all who took the time to reply with nice comments.   This wraps up my efforts in F1 cars of GPL.    Maybe someday if we get a 50's sports car mod (hint hint) I'll display what I've been doing there.

Until then ... cheers.

WOW!   This is news to me.   So this is something in development I take it?

I've built 3 sports cars from the 50's and a '62 GTO but all are sort of "art pieces" and are carved in exotic woods with natural finishes.   I'll hold off till the mod is released.

Don't wait on us. G.P.L. time is 100% incalculable. I get older by the day :D Stay true to your interests and thanks for sharing. Bob

Frank you are an inspiration!!  I'm 'only' 68 and have a difficult time getting out of bed each morning.
Your modelling (along with the evident research) skills are incredible.

Thank you for sharing.  :)

:bounce: :bounce:
I must say, I've always looked carelessly at the racing cars from the 50es. Never did they spark my interest. A year ago I would have told you that I would have taken a '71 Sports Cars mod over something from the 50es anyday. Since I've delved into the '55 F1 mod though, I have taken gradually more and more interest into them. I am now fascinated by 'em, their looks, their engines, their sounds, and their drivers (and tracks from that era too, mesmerizing). I must say, I prefer the Sports Cars to the F1 cars, but they are all gorgeous B)

PS I was thinking about buying this book LINK but held back in case there was something similar but better. Any tips guys? (within an affordable budget please  )

I really want to drive a classic Jag (C-type or D-type)! Especially if it has that authentic, growling sound!  :crossfingers:

@Leon
This book shop is in my area of the UK.

https://vintagemotor....uk/?page_id=33

There's an eBay link for their stock. You could always message the seller (shop) directly or through eBay. Link at bottom for eBay sales.

They've been going for years and would you believe it I've never called in personally. Now I've reminded myself to pay a visit 🤭🤔

There's also Abe books https://www.abebooks...v-_-Home-_-Logo

Hope it helps ðŸ˜ðŸ‘

Wow ! Absolutely beautiful ! You really nailed that Mercedez. That is some fine craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing.
There is a man who builds Ferrari F1 models completely out of cardboard and his collection contains all ferraris from 1948 - 2019 . There is a video of his collection on YouTube

Thanks Marco.    I just watched that video.   When you said cardboard I set my expectations pretty low but I was truly impressed!!    And all 57 done in 10 years.
