A couple of my installs uses a second (silver 2) use of the mighty Silverstone circuit. That particular version I'm using has a lens flare from the sun behind a cloud in the sky. Meaning no disrespect to the original designer, it rather bothered me, so I altered the two horizon mips to eliminate it as you can see in my before and after pics. If anyone is interested, I attached the files in the enclosed rar.

Hi Folks ... My original post No 1 provided my edit for the Type 5 Thomas Lachelle Silverstone sky to eliminate the sun flare.

But this type 5 sky still had noticeable banding. As I looked further into eliminating the banding, Paul Skingley provided me with a type 7 Lachelle Silverstone sky with much less banding but the sun flare was back.
Paul was kind enough to provide me with the type 7 mip created from my edited bmp. The result is below ... you have a choice of the type 7  Lachelle Silverstone sky with or without the sun flare. Each is a complete sky with much less banding.  Just drop the files into your Thomas Lachelle  Silverstone folder and enjoy. Back up your horizon and sky mips first in case you have any issues ....

Thanks very much - a noticeable reduction in the banding. Much prefer this no flare version.

Thanks Ramoats and Paul nice work on the new horizon.

For me after I download the No Sun Flare version the archive is damaged so I can't try it. I am happy with the Sun Flare version though.

I just downloaded it and opened it to test .. seems ok .. I use Winrar for zip files .. that may have something to do with it ...

I just re-downloaded the No Sun Flare version, extracted the files and looked at the mips.  No issues here.

Strange. I downloaded again and tried to extract the files in the No Sun Flare version but get the same result as before . I tried with Winrar and 7zip.

Not a problem though I am just happy the banding is gone.
