they don't sound as good as the other mods.
i've even tried Ducwolf's package and they still sound like my g'ma's sewing machine :P (sorry Ducwolf no offense)

is there a setting i should change? that 5200 rpm or something in one of the ini files?
is there a better sound package i've not found yet?
i'm starting here and a search only seems to find similar feelings, no solutions :(

thanks for any links/feedback!

These are the sounds I use for 65mod.

Not sure from whom, sorry if I step on some toes by attaching it. Extract in your ...\GPL\sound folder. There will be a new subfolder 65newsound. Then copy over the new sounds in the ...\GPL\sound folder (don't forget to backup the older sounds before overwriting).

Robert, the sounds that you posted are from ducwolf.  They are his v0.2 1965 sound files.  They are also the ones that I use.
Here are the ReadMe files that go with them:

To my point of view, the best sound pack is made by Intruder... :)

Ah thanks Greg, and ducwolf!

Remember Bruce, in 1965 F1 the engines were limited to 1.5L smallblocks. ;)

I think the default sounds of the 1965 cars are fine...

...except for the Brabham BT7, that one can give you a headache. :P
