First of all, let me say I’ve had no problems installing the fabulous 55 Mod (or any other Mod) on my Windows 10 system, so I’m sorry if you came here looking for answers.
If you came here to see if you could help, then you have my respect.
But if you came here for a chuckle, then maybe you are in the right place……..
And if you do have problems with your installation, perhaps this video will lighten your mood…..
(Sorry for the ‘blue’ language it contains.)

What a very odd thread. As far as I know there's no problem installing with W10 and it seems that every new Windows OS has been seen as delivered from hell.
Links like this usually make me very suspicious, but the Hitler video is amusing.

Still laughing my butt off over this video.
Have seen this before with different captions, but it is still funny.
And like Greg, I stopped at Windows 7 and refused to "upgrade" to Windows 10.

"I may as well go back to rFactor to drive a Lada around Stalingrad!"
I was happily running xp on my race pc until recently when I upgraded to win7.
No plans to go to win10 although I have GPL running fine on my win10 laptop ... but don't tell the führer that

I did not watch the video in Post #1 until just now. That's a real hoot !!! My son was watching it and almost fell out of his chair on the X-Box reference.
A very well made piece of humor. Thanks for posting!

Yes very funny, possibly the best "Downfall" re-subtitling I've seen so far.
I have not managed to install the 55 mod yet because the day I went to do so, Windows 10 independently managed to screw my Logitech drivers leaving my G27 "broken". Can't work out how Windows 10 could be so "intelligent" and malicious to do that and keep me from trying the mod.
Two weeks later after trying every Logitech profiler re-install/fix I can find it's still screwed.
So yes the video is very apt.

To be fair, I’ve had very few issues with Win10, though the Logitech driver issue was one of them (I also have a G27). However, I've not experienced the problem again since applying the following fix from Logitech:
If your computer gives you a blue screen when you connect your G920 wheel or if your PC/games do not recognize your G25/G27 wheel, follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Disconnect the Gaming wheel from your computer.
Download and save
WheelDriverCleaner.exe[https://chilp.it/c09316a]
to your desktop
Run the cleaner tool by double clicking the file from your desktop.
Close the cleaner tool dialog box.
Reconnect your Gaming wheel to your computer.
Best regards,
The Logitech G Team
Fingers crossed.....
I've also made good use of Shutup10 (https://www.oo-softw...com/en/shutup10) to inhibit many of the new 'features' of Windows 10. A tip I think I picked up elsewhere in these forums.
I recommend you persevere with installing the 55 Mod - it's brilliant!

This is the link to the shutup 10 and the topic thread.
I would suggest following ideas in this thread,as I did and it helped immensely when running Windows 10.

Cannylad:
Thanks for your solution but I found that WheelDriverCleaner on the Logitech site and have tried it to no avail. I'm still stuck with a G27 that powers up ok when plugged in but as soon as something tries to use it (e.g. Logitech Profiler or GPL) it goes dead. Windows reports that the driver is in error. Any attempt to update the driver ends with "Windows Encountered a Problem Installing Driver for your Device"
I have uninstalled/re-installed the Logitech Profiler (at least 2 different versions) as well. OnceI managed to get to the point where my wheel was recognised as a Logitech Driving Force (another common problem), but when I tried he fix for that it just set me back to square one.
Don't worry I will get to the 55 mod even if I have to use a keyboard/buy a Thrustmaster wheel/re-install windows!

Thanks for the link TP. I thought I'd seen it somewhere here!

I presume you deleted the old driver(s) before re-installing?
And I presume you used the correct G27 Driver (lgs510), and not the latest G29 / G920 Driving Force Driver?
If so, I’m afraid that exhausts my (limited) expertise on the subject!
Perhaps you need to take a leaf from Hitler’s book, and post your problem in the ‘Help I’m having trouble with….’ Forum!
I hope you get it solved. It’s even worth buying a new PC to get the 55 Mod running – it’s that good!
