Here are some graphics changes to the Snetterton Circuit to bring it closer to the circuit of 1955 and the RedeX Trophy race.

This graphical update uses the '55 Mod naming convention ie 3do files are 355; mip files are m55; and srb files are s55.

**** BEFORE INSTALLING SNETTERTON  -  PLEASE DELETE THE TRACK FOLDER snett64 FROM THE TRACKS FOLDER.  ****

Snetterton (snett) track is by GPLEA - https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...7173#entry65855
These graphics changes are meant to be applied over the update by Denis B. (Db312).
Denis' beautiful update for Snetterton '64 (snett) at SRMZ - https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...showtopic=11846
OR use the complete track folder provided.

There are also sub-folders with LOW-FB and HI-FB versions of the snett.355 and snett.3do files.

Here is the Snetterton '55 track conversion complete folder - https://www.mediafire...ete_gl_v1.1.rar
Here is the Snetterton '55 track conversion mod files only - https://www.mediafire...ion_gl_v1.1.rar

EDIT:  Version 1.1 above [5/21/2017]

As others have said, thanks for all these updates Greg. I've installed them all and tried them out briefly and they look amazing. Many years ago, I used to live only about a mile from Crystal Palace, and the way the track looks reminds me very much of the South London park scenery that I used to see around me in that area at the time (between the concrete and brick grime of South London, of course!) It really gives me a feeling of nostalgia!

I am a little confused about these updates for Snetterton though. The '55 mod seems to have created a "snett64" directory which is mostly empty. After reading post #1 which mentions Snetterton '64, I assumed that this was where your Snetterton files were supposed to go, so I installed your complete update into the "snett64" folder and tried to run it. Unfortunately I got a "could not load track", "cancelling weekend" message.

I then realised that a lot of the files were named "snett", so I re-installed into the "snett" directory and everything now works fine. But this begs the question, what is the "snett64" directory for? Is this for another track which is being worked on at the moment?

I was confused too, but according to the track database, snett64 has the folder name snett.

Yes, you must rename "snett64" folder to "snett" and it's OK.

Yes, that was an issue that I carried into the 55Mod.  Sorry, guys.  I thought that we had re-named the snett64 track folder to snett before the final release.... apparently not,

After installing the 55Mod please delete the snett64 track folder.  Thanks!

Thank you for your kind comments, guys.  :)

Keith, thanks for pointing out the mis-named track folder in the 55Mod install.

Small update to v1.1 in Post #1.  Asphalt and some wooden fences improved.

For what is basically an old airfield with little in the way of facilities or 'track scenery' I can't believe how much atmosphere this circuit has - many thanks to all involved for such a great job. It feels perfect with the '55 cars.
