in these updates there are the files horiz1.m55 & horiz2.m55 but they don't match the horizon files that I have (I assume from Thomas Lächele's update) & on the s/f straight the horizon is just wrong. when I remove them, the horizon is consistent again.

why are there only the 2 m55 horizon files when there are 12 (0-11) from Thomas?
was there a difference in the 1955 horizon compared to 1967?

I use ogl v2 on win7 pro 32bit. what program do you use Greg?

Roo, from the Post #1 instructions: Thomas Laechele's v2 beta update - [DO NOT use the alternative vegetation / sky OR the type7 horizon files]

The type7 horizon files will miss-match with the ones that I provide.  The horiz1.m55 & horiz2.m55 files are not '55 specific, but I provide them as horizXX.m55 in the 'update files only' archive so that they may be included in that update method as well as the 'complete track folder' archive. They match up with the standard type3 horiz0-11 files from Thomas.  

The two horizon files have been updated by me to make the view more appropriate as you drive down the long D27 straight.

Btw, I use OGLv2 on a Win 7 64-bit system.

Not a problem, my friend.  I'm glad that you enjoy the '55 track version.  A few more small updates are coming to Reims, soon.

Update v2.0 for the 1954 Reims track conversion in Post #1. This update also includes new files for many parts of the 1966 version in a separate D/L or as part of the complete track folder archive D/L.

New flags on the pit buildings, track shadows of the Dunlop bridges improved, complete re-work of all the signal posts around the circuit - including re-positioning of the main timing building just after the S/F line, a fix to the pavement at the Muizon corner exit and a complete re-work of Thillois corner with removal of the barrier behind the gravel runoff.  This is in addition to the new S/F line and grid boxes from the previous update.

I am fortunate to have the help of Denis B. (Db312) on some of the texture updates.
