Thank you ever so much for this new mod. Downloaded this morning, and now ready to drive. On holiday so I can look after my partner Viv who's just had an operation. When I'm not with her this is what I'll be doing.

Well done everyone involved with this. I need to learn how to drive these beasts as I can light the fronts up in red in less than a lap...

Tried a few cars last night, and must say it is huge fun, also able to race real close! Default setups feel very good. It looks great, it feels great and it is great fun! Again a big thank you to the whole mod team! Kudos! :)

Many thanks to the mod 55 team. We'll have to drift now to pass the corners! Great work worth every minute we have been waiting for it.
Thanks a lot!

First time out opposite lock sliding round Aintree in the W196. Grinning like a Cheshire cat the whole time. Just brilliant, great job people.
Thanks to all members of the 55 mod .

Great work by the 1955 mod team! :clap2: I've been trying a few laps at Buenos Aires and the cars are great fun to drive. In the second half of the wide first turn, it's great fun to push the throttle down and have the rear end start to hang out in a drift! I think I'm going to have to improve my driving style somehow though, as that little lamp in the tacho seems to stay red for far too long! :3gears:

Just a couple of things to note:

Lee, I've tried the new version of Setup Manager (v2.6.1) with some 1955 settings files, and on my 1920x1080 Windows screen, the car picture obscures the first setting in the middle column. It's not a great problem as this is the steering ratio, and I don't change that once I've installed and tested a mod for the first time. But I thought you might want to know. I also checked this with one of the winged mods, 1969 Extra, and the picture slightly clips the wing setting field too. It's still mostly visible and usable though. (With all the different resolutions that people use to run Windows, it must be a nightmare to try to check all of them.)

Also, GEM has a problem with selecting setups for the 1955 mod. I've seen and fixed this before for the Thundercars and 1969 Extra mod, and I already have a tested fix waiting to be posted here on SRMZ for the 1955 Mod. I've sent Arturo a PM asking for permission to post it, as it changes the 1955 Mod gpl55.cst carset file.

For those of you who use GPL Setup Manager, v2.6.1 includes support for the '55 Mod.

Get it here:

Thanks Lee! Also thanks to Keith for feedback and help! :)

Keith, I also have a 1920x1080 res screen.  I am using Win 7 64-bit.

Are you getting these extensions for the 55Mod default setup files?
(I use separate installs, so these only show)

Thanks for the reply Greg. It's really odd, I've checked my Windows settings, including some scaling options which are all set to normal (100%), and I'm getting the odd effects shown below.

And yes, I have those default setup files in my GPL\Setups\Setups55 directory. But GEM needs extra information from each mod to understand what file extensions it uses. This information is missing from the 1955 mod carset file. That's why GEM doesn't let us select any 1955 mods (Oops!) setups. I can select and test the default setups fine when I'm in GPL.

Keith, would you send your modded cst file via private message?  Thank you.  I looked at your '69 Extra Mod fix, just now.  Yes, please send me your modded cst file.  I will run it by the team and get back to you soon.

It´s just to add the suffix for each setup.
