Please read this topic before downloading and installing any of the '55 Mod track conversions or small updates.  Thank you!

First, if you have not already downloaded and installed ginetto's beautiful re-creation of the 1955 Buenos Aires circuit #2 do this now.  It is the first race of the '55 GP season and will provide you with an excellent place to learn about the '55 cars.  ba55n2 track -  https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...showtopic=11589

I have, along with the assistance of members of the '55 Mod Team, begun to make changes to our G.P.L. tracks to give them a more 1950-ish feel.  This task began sometime in mid-2016 when I wanted to remove the pit lane wall from Monza 10k and found that my changes left a large 'hole' in the track surface.  ginetto offered to help and as he had acquired the build files from John Basara he re-compiled the track with his fixes.  Everything that followed was our attempt at converting Monza 10k to the 1955 Grand Prix version.  I believe that we got fairly close except for some very large differences in the pits and Parabolica.  Read more about this subject in that track's D\L topic.  Ginetto and other track builders helped me with other obstacles when I encountered them.  Thanks very much guys!

I am providing two methods of installing the '55 track conversions:

One method is an archive with only the 55Mod-specific files, which requires that you have the base track installed on your PC along with any previously released updates that I mention in that track's D/L topic before adding these files.

The second method is an archive with a completely installed track folder that contains all of the previously released updates for the track (that I feel meet the look that I am attempting) along with the 55Mod-specific files.  These complete track folders have files to run most other Mods and have been tested by team members with other Mods (ie 65, 66, 67, GT, etc)
A WORD OF CAUTION ON USING THESE COMPLETE TRACK FOLDERS  -  Please backup or save your current trackXX.ini, drivXX.ini and XXXX.lp files from your old track folders.  I have had to include what I believe are the best versions of these files, but you may not agree.  So, please backup your files.  Thank you!

Finally, as these '55 track conversions are really only in beta form and not completed, I request that community members aid in these projects with suggestions, graphic textures, 3do objects, etc to help complete the track conversions.  If you have something to add please submit them in the appropriate track topic and we will try to incorporate them.
