Hello guys, for riders who like to race off line on oval tracks, I made one more carset option, now for mod69x, the 1970 USAC championship.
To get a feel for a new mod I chose only the mod 4x4 cars.
I believe the championship can be interesting because these cars present different reactions between short and long oval tracks.

Before installation it is necessary to back up the c02, c08 and c14 folders and the drvc69.INI file, because some files from the original carset are modified.

The install is simple, unzip the files in the cars/cars69 folder and let replace, and place the drvc69.INI file inside the folders of the tracks that you will use this carset.

Good fun, and feel free to make any changes.

* UPDATE new drvc69.ini *

Thanks Jonny!

Is there now any chance someone can do a version of the Indy track that doesn't crash? I love racing there but have given up recently.

Thanks Jonny, when I said I wanted to make a USAC 70 mod, I doubted I had the experience to do it. Just one question, when you say cars 69, which one do you mean? Unless there are two 69 mods, I have low wing, high wing, and medium wing.

When I install this carset all the 4WD cars steer very hard to the left without using an asemetric setup. Since it's aimed at ovals, was this intended like that? If so is there a way to only use the skins, without chaning anything else to the cars? I want to try and recreate the 1970 Usac championship, which had some none-oval races as well.

I also noted that the engine covers on the Lotus 63's aren't painted, like some files are missing or not loaded properly. The Matra's and McLaren's all do show up as fully painted as a whole, if you know what I mean.

Well Roger , really the lotus got a little strange, I tried to leave the engine without the same cover.
this is just a carset, if you can change something, get free for this,
my works are for my own use and as I imagine there are other crazy people around here! ... I make available here, even if it is not 100% perfect.

I fully understand, I just wanted to know if this carset changes anything to the setup because all the cars steer to the left. I think this is a great carset, with a lot of potential.

Recently I started working on my own carskins and I understand the amount of work it takes to create a set like this.

only the decoration changes so no changes to the setups
For the physics to be modified it would be necessary a file .cst which would create a new exe

Jonny’O,

This carset is outstanding! Great fun at Ginetto’s PIR67 Phoenix  track. I’ll be checking out the other USAC tracks we also have in the next few days. Thank you for this great gift!

Here is the Spring 1970 race at Phoenix, round 1 of the championship from ABC’s Wide World of Sports:
