I have GTR2 and Power and Glory installed on my Win10 computer. I have managed to install a number of tracks ( and some working cars in GTR2 ) but have two problems.

  • Replays will not be saved.

  • I have tried to install the Targa Florio track. I have downloaded and unzipped the track named “Targa Florio v1 by 'The Sky and Neilj. This gives me a folder labelled “Targa” and a number of other files.

  • I have done the 4GB patch on the exe files in each game.

  • The direction for installation tells me to copy the “Targa” folder into the “Locations” in Game Data. When I do this I find that it contains 3 folders HTarga; RTarga and Targa which themselves look rather small in content. When I try to open any of these in the game I get a CTD, I have tried adding the other files from my initial opening where the Targa folder is, but get an even more solid lock-up.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I've delayed replying as I'm an XP user so can't really advise on Win10 issues (which I think the replay issue is).  Was hoping a Win10 user might comment but suspect Win10 GTR2 users are thin on the ground here.

Hope this screenshot of my Targa install helps you with your Targa issue.

Hey I am on Win10 ;) :) However, I don't know how much of help I can be :( Everything works fine here, both replays recording and the Targa Florio

Thank you both very much for your answers.
  • David, I looked at your screen shot and saw that it showed what I thought I had been doing (Para 4), adding the files given below the single “Targa” folder to the next step down, below “H”; “R” and “T” Targas, so I would try it again. I must have done it incorrectly before as now it works – and I can fulfil my ambition of taking a Mini-Cooper S around Sicily !
  • I haven't resolved the recording bit yet, but knowing that it has worked for you, Leon, will help.

    • P.S. David, I see Spa67 on your list of P and G tracks. Is this a personal conversion or have I missed something ?

Its not a personal conversion

https://www.nogriprac...hp?filenr=17203

But this is based on the original GPL Spa, not the new one.

Paddy I've got my GTR2.exe set to compatibility mode with Windows 7. Usually it works a treat with XP programs on Win10 ;)
