Driving the 906 at Targa is a glorious thing.
The GT 40 at Targa, however, is strictly a bull in a china shop experience! (it's still a lot of fun, though)

I hope to enjoy it someday myself. I purchased GTR2 but unfortunately my hard drive partition may not be large enough. When I partitioned my hard drive, I didn't expect to install anything but GPL and it's mods. I downloaded P&G so hopefully I'll be ready when the time to install arrives. Thanks.

Sad to say P&G doesn't work for me anymore with Win 10. It won't start up. I even did another install with a fresh install of GTR2, and I get the same thing. It tries to start, but fails.
It worked perfect on Win 7.

What is left to try? It won't start up. GTR2 works fine. GTL won't start either. AC works fine. GPL works fine. No idea why some work and others won't.

Pete set both exe (game and config) to compatibility mode with Windows 7! I am sure it will work this way, remember to select Win7 and not XP SP2

I couldn't remember what I had done, but Leon jogged my memory - I run it with compatibility for Vista SP2

Thanks guys. It seems to be a very nice mod. So far I've gotten everything working that I wanted. I hope to continue improving my settings.
I like driving GPL and it's mods more but GTR2 and it's mods are a nice diversion at times. I wouldn't doubt if P&G is the finest GTR2/GTL mod of all but I can't really say from experience yet.

I've forgotten what I've already said, but we have worked on both the physics and the graphics of the Ferrari 275 GTB. Nack returned to the team though his time for modding is limited. The Cortina GT missed out on the updates to the Lotus Cortina made for 3.2 and he has worked on updating the graphics for the GT. HR186S has also been working on finalising the graphics for a car new to P&G. I'll keep its identity a secret for the moment. I have returned to the roots of the mod - revisiting the IROC Porsche 911.
No release date at present I'm afraid.

Hi all,
I am having a hard time understanding the Ford GT cars' physics. I must state 1st that I do NOT buy into the heavy pendulum motion in ANY sports car. What is with this swaying back and forth nonsense? Are there any other physics models for this series of cars anywhere? Ford GT Mk II 's are the dumbest, worst 'impression' of a car I can think of.
Thoughts?
edit: I found the answer!
From the mod dev blog: "SETTING YOUR STEERING WHEEL LOCK
To get an accurate steering ratio for the Porsche 906 and Ford GT Mk II you should set your steering wheel lock to 745 degrees (Porsche 906) and 810 degrees (Ford GT Mk II)"
That explains the Mk II ... so how much wheel lock for the other Ford GT's? They're not too driveable either for me ATM.
Could there be a set of physics for regular wheel lock: like 380 - 400 range?
Thanks.
PH

I found that answer as well on a post somewhere here: Steering lock settings for various steering wheel degrees.
But I did need all of 900 degrees for the MkII and a real low steering lock and a few GPL-inspired tweaks to the default setup.
I got a decent Vette setup also.
Interesting physics and driving experience ... Tryin' all this out on Spa 67 ...
