Just don't use one of these.  ;)

"Early Starfighters (F-104) used a downward-firing ejection seat (the Stanley C-1), out of concern over the ability of an upward-firing seat to clear the "T-tail" empennage. This presented obvious problems in low-altitude escapes, and 21 USAF pilots, including test pilot Capt. Iven Carl Kincheloe Jr, failed to escape from their stricken aircraft in low-level emergencies because of it."

an Starfighter like this?

Two questions that may sound idiotic, but as it seems to be laborious installation, it's worth it: I have not seen anyone talking about training mode, can I only train, drive alone on the tracks with that MOD? Can I add any track in the .INI? If not, I do not even waste my time installing this ... :bigcry:

You can do anything with the mod you can do now with the 67 F1 cars. It's not hard to install. Takes me less than 5 min including the download.

If you like a more accurate season, better physics, and way better graphics? Download it.

I encouraged myself, downloaded the files and installed them. What can I say?

WOW !!! Fantastic!!!

Finally the cars brake and make curves, are cars of this planet (the originals are undriveable ...).
Thanks guys, GPL now is renovated and much better.

So I'll drive until I'm 80 years old...

I still like the challenge of the original Papy physics and mostly drive those.

Then again, I hunt for bear and elk with an old flintlock muzzleloader instead of a modern rifle.

Easy isn't always better. ;)

Thanks for the clue, there are some tracks that I really don't like, such as Monacane. That chicane after the tunnel is surreal, anyone who watched the movie Grand Prix knows that it's not so closed. The original track is more realistic at this point (my opinion) and I am happy to know that I can drive on it with this MOD.

Let us now wait for more and more improvements.

Personally I think that the flat out chicane on the original Monaco is definitely not what the drivers did in real life. There is absolutely no way they didn't slow down there. So no matter how tight Monacane is, in my opinion it is better than the original Monaco and more of a challenge.

In fact, I think that both chicanes - of the two tracks - are unreal: one is too closed, another is too open.
I personally prefer the original chicane, but I respect any and all opinions! Democracy on GPL...

If you watch and listen to the cars approaching the chicane you'll see them brake and downshift. Going flat out in 5th gear like you can do with the original Monaco is completely wrong. Monacane is a much better choice if you like accuracy. That's why it's in the Historical mod.

The same thing applies to Mosport being wet and Bugatti in place of Rouen. A lot of thought and research was put in the Historical mod. It needs nothing to be changed.

We'd all rather drive Monaco instead of Monacane. Monaco is easier, but it's a fantasy track. Arcade.

Ok, I don't wanna start discussions about that, it's just my opinion...
But the original track, IMHO, is not arcade.
I don't know if it's allowed to post youtube adresses in here, because I have one showing a shoot of the track of 67 at the time.
BTW, despite in B/W, it's great to confirm that both of the tracks are quite 100% in terms of images.
And life goes on, let's enjoy this wonderfull MOD!!!!

You do know that both are the same track, except for the chicane?

Arcade = Something that's made easier than real life.

You're free to use any track you want. That's always your choice. Just don't try and tell us that Monaco is more real than Monacane. It may have a slightly tighter chicane than real life, but it's much closer to the real track than Monaco. We've had many threads about this. You must have missed them.

Friends, a small problem has arisen: after updating WGlen with the MOD data (Carset 6), when I access this track nothing happens and the game crashes. Has anyone else had this problem?
Just for the record, all the others MOD are working fine, except 67 and 67 Extra.
Thanks
