No "generic" carset? When I try to run on a track which hasn't it's own drivers ini file, very few cars have numbers on them. Is that not featured, or am I doing something wrong?

I have another online carset ready that will use a new generic driver entry and enable everyone to use that carset on any track that they want. Apart from the historical tracks. The only problem is that it is lacking the different number skins from 1-20 in each car folder that players need to drive online. As there is 31 car folders that is around 600 more skins that need organizing. Since I will almost never have the time to go online or race the 67's on a track that they didn't race on in RL it is very hard to find the motivation to actually do this. I hope to one day get it done to finish these off.

Just to add a piece of information. The evolving car's weight and power values used in each carset are reported in the Team Info pages. :)

That's perfectly understandable. It's not that hard to copy-paste driver ini files from the RL tracks to other directories so it's no biggie!

I am not sure what it is but Carset 2 is not working for me.

I unzip'd everything in the GPL folder as normal, but out of all 67-Extra carsets, it is the only one without the pictures of the carset and the cars in GEM+.
The game itself runs, I can do to driver & team info, etc. but when loading any track, it instantly says 'Could not load track, cancelling weekend.'

Have you tried rebuilding the exe? Out of the many times I tested installing these carsets one time carset 7 did a 'Could Not Load Track' even though the last time I tested the installation it had worked. I hadn't changed anything. So I rebuilt the exe and it loaded. Was very weird. Carset 2 should use the gpl267.exe.

I have tried a few times, but without success.

EDIT: I found the problem of my issue. Apparently the 67-EXTRA 2 had CARS67 physics on it. It is working now.

Dreams can become real, at times.
First, i want to say a big "thank you very much" at all peoples that work at all mods in past, present and future: their work is astonishing, permitting at this fantastic game to survive until now.
Second, great congratulations at who make this GPL 2.0: this is what many of us asked several years ago, a perfect evolution with very few similar others around the simracing world.
Third, because i'm an inglorious bastard: where are all scientists that, in past, say "GPL physics is good as is" or "cars have to slide to be realistics" ?
Now, all cars have a marvellous behaviour: no more soap-cars-that-slide-on-ice-all-the-time, grip is there, understeer also, chassis is not wawing (front and rear appear hardly connected, not linked by an elastic).
Then, i ask: in detail, what modifications you made in physics (that's basement of each racing sim) ?
It's hard to believe that few new parameters can take at this brilliant result.

    Hi all !

I read all this with high intrest. Unlucky i am low on free space on my GPL-partition and i have only a very poor connection by dl files.

Before i dl all the files, please can someone give me a hint how much HD-space is needed for the installation of this beauty ?

    Greetings

Around 4.8 Giga, once unzipped,  without the tracks. As I suppose you have the tracks installed. Jarama67 and Kyalami68 will add only 82Meg.
Installed with others mods on the same install.

With WIN 7 32 bits, I have seen you can have all the mods on one GPL installation, without never having a pb. And With ONE PLAYER name only.

I did a new install for this mod. I used the 1.07 installer, and added nothing to it. My GPL folder is 7.59 GB

    This is a big mod.
