Dear All,

I'm loving PnG but I've still got a pristine installation of version 3.1. What do I need to do in order to make it all singing and dancing in terms of tracks, setups and other tweaks? I have a feeling that I'm currently missing out. I'd love to find a bunch of reliable setups. All advice very gratefully received.

Pete

If you have a working GTR2 install grab a copy of PnG_TrackLinker which allows you to share the GTR2 track list without having to use multiple track copies on two games--the only disadvantage is that you don't get to see the PnG specific loading screens.

It made more sense to me that I have GTR2's LM55 and '70 SCCA Trans Am Series installed in P&G by changing .cas file to use the following:

MASFile=STEX_GTL.GTR
MASFile=TALENT_GTL.GTR

or
MASFile=GTL_STEX.gtr
MASFile=GTL_TALENT.gtr
(make sure you have these files in P&G)

I've also converted specific GTL cars to P&G use as well--AC Ace, Maserati Tipo 60-61 ''Birdcage'', Mercedes 300 SLR, and Mercedes-Benz 300 SL ''Gullwing'' to P&G LM55 class by using "geditor" to convert .gtl files to .gtr.

Where do I find new tracks and how do I install them? That'll give me enough to be getting on with.

P&G tracks (with P&G style loading screens) are listed as well as GTR2 tracks are available at the above sites.  Just download and "uncompress" (if that is the right word) with jZip, Winrar, or 7-Zip -- free programs. The drop the files in drive:/ PnG3 / Gamedata / Locations directory.  Mods are uncompressed and dropped directly in the Gamedata directory --allow the file to "overwrite" to add to Sound files and to Teams directory.

It gets slightly more difficult to add a new Team directory such as '70 SCCA Trans Am Series by editing with Notepad .
