It works for both the player and AI drivers in all views in real time and replay modes. The driver heads are continuously adjusted in all three axes; yaw, pitch, and roll, so you will see the driver heads rotate to look into turns, tilt fore and aft in response to longitudinal G force, and tilt left and right to counteract lateral G force.
An earlier version also adjusted the player's cockpit viewpoint, somewhat as the GPL Glance patch rotates the player's cockpit viewpoint into turns, but this earlier version also adjusted the player's viewpoint up and down and left and right depending on G forces. Our testers found it to be too disorienting so this patch does not adjust the player's cockpit viewpoint at all. As such, you will not see any difference in the player's normal cockpit view except that other drivers' heads will still tilt. Also, the player's F10 viewpoint will show his head tilt.
My special thanks goes out the '55 Mod Test Team which extensively tested this patch and provided invaluable advice on how to improve it. The patch has been tested with all the major mods, with various country versions of the GPL .exe, and on and offline. It is also compatible with my previously released general purpose patches (Weather, No Letterbox, Engine Sound, and Pitstop) and Pribluda.
You may use the patch by placing it in one of three different locations:
1. Windows/GPL Secrets/GEM+/Options Directory: This option allows the use of the patch in ALL of your GPL installations and mods if you check its checkbox in the GEM+ drop down list.
2. ModInstallation Directory/Mods/GEM+/ModPhysics Directory: This option always uses the patch for that single mod only.
3. ModInstallation Directory/Mods/GEM+/ModPhysics Directory/Options Directory: This option uses the patch for that single mod if you check its checkbox in the GEM+ drop down list.
As this is a general purpose patch and can be used with all of your installations and mods, I recommend you use Option 1.
I think you will find this patch to be a big enhancement to your GPL experience. Please try it and let me know if there are any issues. As always though, if you don't like it, don't use it.
