Thanks Guys,

Linked this thread on gpllinks.
Wondering which is better...most recent?
2.16.8?
Why WinMip12 is 1.5MB?

:)

Winmip1.2 is with installer.
Which version is better depends on what you need/prefer :)

Are there significant differences between the later Winmip versions?  I have 2.16.6 ...

The later one has the ability to add a fog effect to the mip.
I've never used that effect.

I have changed to a new laptop and, of course... Winmip won't work. I get a message "Error in N4MipShow". This is using a fresh install of 2.16.8, but it also failed on 2.15.something.

My laptop is running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit.

From memory I have 2.16.6 running on W7 64bit, recall needing to find and install msvbvm50.dll.

Jonny and Brian, the same goes for me.  I have msvbvm50.dll in the same folder where I keep all of my GPL tools/utilities files.... along with WinMip2.

Here is mine.
You probably need to register it but I don't remember the procedure, Check the net for register dll in windows or something.
edit: reloaded in zip format

Thanks Greg but for some reason Windows won't accept the file path for the .dll. For work reasons I have to change my laptop every couple of years or so, which is what I use for everything except actually driving GPL. But it's getting harder and harder to just get the various utilities going. I've got Datman and Winmip going OK on the old PC I use for driving, and I suppose I'll just have to get used to swapping files to and fro.

By chance, looking for something else, found a page I'd saved from way back when.
It will open in LibreOffice if not in browser.

Is this for a multiseason mip update? That works by just renaming the .mip extention.
Otherwise i wouldn't know where an .m16 is used for?
