The left picture refers to the dashboard of the AAR104 used by Gurney from Zandvoort to Mexico 67 with the exception of Mosport. The other is the dashboard of the AAR103 used at Monaco, Mosport (Gurney) and by the other "one race" Eagle drivers in 1967 (i.e. McLaren and Baghetti). IMHO the best historical representation of the AAR104 dashboard for GPL is that of Mario Muller with updated gauges (https://srmz.racesimcentral.net/inde...104190  post#15). ;)

This is a perfect example of how picky we are about the details in GPL. This is why I can't believe we put up with the physics being wrong in the 67 F1 cars when we have the ability to fix it.

Nothing wrong with being picky. Most of us are, but why not be picky about the most important part........how the cars drive.

This board needs a 67V2Mod pressure group! Oh, and some people with time and abilities to mod 67 into proper physics 67V2. No need to draw any cars or anything, we have all that already.

It was actually thought about way back before the 65 mod was released. I know, because I tested a couple of versions when I was a beta tester. It was squashed, because of GPL rank.

Like you said. We can have a V2 version just like the 65 mod has now. GPLRank won't even be effected.

I know it doesn't seem as interesting to do as a new mod is, but it's only the physics that needs to be done.

Maybe but most of the time it doesn't stop with just...
If one would actually create a 67v2 mod it probably would have separate slots for the Mclaren, the Honda RA300 and a couple of other missing 67 models.
Most models would be available graphicswise as you said but still need physics, sound, setup and menu files.

I once started with that set but then heard it was been worked on so stopped.
Unfortunately nothing happened and we could have had a base v2 mod ready

What could be a nice way to implement it is to start with the basecars and develop new slots on a single car basis.
So duplicate the current carset, improve physics and release the mod.
Then extend the number of slots 1 by 1 with every finished new car and release each new added car as an update.

Well...just wishfull thinking i guess..

A fairly broad term when it comes to R/L and even the GPL model. A fresh start on all mechanical and aero issues or "just" rebuild the tire model?  And as MECH suggests, one thing leads to another in GPL land.

Yes, of course it could turn into a big project, but it could also be kept simple too. Just a physics change on existing cars would be appreciated by the community.
