Due to some requests for the publication of my cockpit, I open a new thread.
The cockpit was born out of the desire to make it as real as possible.
To achieve this I modified some textures from other authors! I modified it to obtain a harmonious overall package.
Before I publish the cockpit, I would like to get permission in this way.

I used textures from these authors:

Luc van Gossum: Cockpit Leather Textures
Rock: Interior Textile and Steering-Wheel Textures
Torroto: Gauges
Sky: New RPM Needle
?: Cockpit border ( Side-Panel )

If anyone knows one of these authors, he can point him to this thread! I don`t know how I could achieve otherwise!

I hope you like it!

Here some Pictures from the real Ferrari 312 48v Cockpit and my created GPL-Cockpit:

Which are correct for 1967 F1: these silver mirrors, or the other aerodynamic red ones? I hope to get your magnificent cockpit in the near future Orpheus!

Hi,

Rock and Sky I could find in this forum! I´ve send them a private message!
But about the authors Luc van Gossum and Torroto I could not find anything on the Web!
The name of the author of the Cockpit Side-Panel is unknown me!

Regards

Mario

@Nicolas:

The aerodynamic red mirrors were installed on 36v Ferrari!
The silver chrome mirrors to the 48v!

OK, then I certainly need your cockpit as I'm currently driving the standard '67 48V with red mirrors, for shame. :)

Torroto's correct name is Totoro :) . I think he made the cockpit sides as well.

Rock hangs around here from time to time but not frequently. I do not know about Totoro, he might have left the scene. Luc van Gossum has definately left.

I think you are in the clear is long as you clearly state who's work you used, and keep the historical accuracy in mind. Otherwise they can ban me for saying so :) . Rock replied to me after a couple of months after I asked for permission to release a new 1966 Ferrari cockpit. He's cool as long as you don't vandalize his work of course, but judging by the pictures you just might be in the clear ;) .

Amon used red mirrors on his Ferrari too sometimes :)

During holidays last month I visited a small museum in the Auvergne in France, and they had a Renault Gordini with the exact type of Sebring Mach I mirrors that Ferrari used. I took a few pics, might or might not be helpfull for texture creation :) . Hey at least you know what they are called ;) .

I remember saying on here a while back that the plastics around the edge of mirror glasses back in the 60's were frequently a greyish-white in colour rather than black. Which excited a certain amount of controversy, as I recall. Anyway, its true of Sebring Machs it would seem, and I'm pretty certain its true of Alexander and Walpres bullet mirrors as well. I have a pair of the former dating from 1964...with the same white plastic surround to the glass. Interesting. To me, anyway, if no-one else :-)

We have some late sixties-early seventies cars from British and Italian descent, and while they have a totally different mirror design, the surround is whitish as well.

Maybe just all in the name...if its called 'Ferrari Cockpit Texture Compilation" or something like that, then in the readme its explained how and what was done with credit to work of others, that should be okay given historic precedence with other GPL compilations.
All just my opinion and noting its been done that way before, and as it appears files have not been messed with, just collected in a new basket.

Getting permissions is of course a good thing if available.

Thank you! My FOV is a lot smaller than your screenshots so I get a bit different view, but very nice and correct anyway. Any link to historically correct and pretty arms+gloves? Mine appear a bit outdated. Yours look nice, but I think that historically speaking they belong in a Lotus?
