hi folks!
our idea was to get the 917 ready for christmas
well, it didn't work out as far as i understood der_jaguar's last message, there are some skin mapping details to solve first (i've found some errors too ) plus the interior still needs some touch up (imagine loads of switches, miles of colourful wires and all kinds of electronic parts).

so here's just another teaser. according to the idea to create a full le mans 70 mod i decided to give you the possibility to chose the player car from the cars that didn't start in the 1970 race:

- Porsche KG Salzburg: withdrawn (car looked like the winnig car)
- Team Gesipa: entry not accepted (Interserie winner 1970)
- John Wyer Automotive/Solar Productions: film car driven by McQueen/Stewart, entry not accepted
- Escuderia Nacional C.S.: entry not accepted
- David Piper Racing: the red Sandeman 917 (not entered. i just wnat to have this one in)

the 917 entered by Pierre Maublanc wasn't accepted. i'd like to make this one too but i don't have any info on the car. if anyone has pictures, please let me know.

The info I get about the car entered by Pierre Maublanc is that it could be the Porsche 917 Chassis 25 , run in the colours of the Zitro Team in 1970

Wow, what car is that Bob? Looks like an '05 ACO spec machine with twin hoops etc, but I can't put my finger on the manufacturer...

There certainly was FPS issues but individualy the car can be driven and Nigels rasterizer should help the situation.

Gee the releasing side of things in GPL is strange.

Maybe people abandoning GPL (can't figure out why ?
