Since it has gone missing here is the 093 version, I hear of a version of 096 but cannot locate it.
This was the version I used tho.

Thank you both very much, I am downloading them both to an ever growing file of track making tools.

The 0.96 version is missing a .dll file to allow it to open.
The 0.93 version doesn't create an error but when I click the .exe you see a DOS window for a second then nothing happens. What do I need to do to see the graphs the readme is talking about ?

hmm.... dunno which .dll it is
here is the graced version before v0.95
There's a .dll included in this package.
Maybe it is the same .dll which it is needed for v0.96

Thanks again Swen, that was the .dll that was missing. But now it does the same as 0.93 the .exe does nothing. I must still be doing something wrong. However, I got HeightED to work and it looks pretty easy to understand after I get to mess with it a bit. Thanks.
Am I correct in assuming that I need to do the altitude work before the textures and TSOs ?

Yes you are correct

especially large TSOs which need to follow the track profile.
Textures can be fixed along together with srb or small 3do, even if the elevations aren't set yet.
About GracED, you need to set up the graced.cfg file that adress the program to the trk and txt file names to be used, plus you need to set up the resolution of your choice
Oh, here's the official release 0.96 with all files included

This version works also with long tracks ( up to 4.000 sections)

I have the INFILE and OUTFILE setup and my resolution is set correctly. The INFILE is the file that comes directly from TXT2GTK. I have placed this file in the same directory with gracED.exe. When I click the .exe the DOS screen flashes then nothing.

You need to put also the [track].trk file of the track and add its name in cfg file

Yes, .trk file in TRKFILE of config. and also the .trk file is in the directory with the rest.

Might be handy to open up the DOS box and type the filename in there.
You'll be able to see the error message you get without sticking your nose in the screen
Start menu - Run - cmd. In case you're not familiair with the dos box

Thank you all very much for your replies. Turns out the problem was with my typing.
My .txt file was named Mytrack..txt ( 2 dots !!) Works great now, Thanks again to everyone.
