Dear GPL buds,
Well after 10 months of flightsimming I fired up GPL (after watching Monaco GP) and have spent the whole day getting stuck in. Funny how it comes and goes, eh? Of course after so much FS9 I want to turn the cockpit off in my Matra; so I made a cam file and put the nosecam at driver's eye level over the fron axle. Spectacular!!! So my question is: can I set the regular cockpit view as the "chase" view? and keep my nose cam as my regular view? Or should I do it vice-versa? What I want is to use F10 as cockpit/nose toggle switch without it resetting to defaults. Can it be done?

You can change your default driving view position by modifing the drivingView value of the player.ini under [ Personal Information ].

Allowed values are:

1 - Cockpit
4 - Chase
5 - Far chase
7 - Pit lane
9 - Nose
10 - Gearbox
11 - Right shoulder
12 - Rollbar
13 - Front suspension
14 - Rear suspension

But as soon as you hit F10 ingame, you again will switch between cockpit and chase only.

thanks for your reminder... I see what I wanted to do (nose cam + floating mirrors + GPL glance) is not possible given the coding. No matter. Still very nice to come back and find some new tracks. Jehonville v. nice! Also Issoire good drive; maybe someone make some AI for it. Still amazed at the efficiency in the coding of GPL. Cheers,
