Full Version: In 2006 which one was the best for you?

Last year there were 45 tracks released for GPL. OK so some were re-releases or reworks (but different challenges) but that's almost 1 a week which is not bad at all. There are a lot of people out there that feel there are few tracks coming out for GPL these days. Well, there may be a few less but some of those are just soooooooo cool that I find it very difficult to say which one was the best. In fact I'd have to cheat and name a few, and even then I'm not sure about the ones I missed out (I'll probably change my mind next week and add some more laugh.gif). In fact I find it very hard to say I dislike any GPL tracks over the years. Can you point to just one track in 2006 as being the best one?

Here are my cheats:

Parco del Valentino
Westwood
Silvnite
Pacific Raceway
The Moon
Monsanto Park
Dundrod (the 1950 version)
Autodromo Potosino Rio Verde

"Houston, we have a problem"
The Moon by Luna. clapping.gif
pirenzo
Pacific Raceways for me.
Westwood '90 coming a close second.
Rio Verde third

I liked the Moon but it was a bit of a gimmick.

Jehonville, Apodaca and Sandown were all good too.

I don't think I gave any of the others a fair enough trial to have an opinion.

For me, Jops Siffert has to be right up there thumbsup.gif

Wow, i didn't realise there was so many tracks released last year blink.gifI returned to GPL after a long lay off near the end of 2006 so i missed most of the releases, but i do remember rushing home from work a few times to get some laps in on a new circuit to keep my total rank up to date tongue.gif

I thought B&Wwerk was very clever and enjoyed driving there, that one does stand out, its maybe because i like Machwerk so much though. Amaroo Park is a fun circuit, Dundrod is a master piece, Parco del Valentino 1955 is a nice challenging circuit and a joy to drive and Tommi's night conversions are stunning efforts.

So all of the tracks are superb in there own way in my opinion really so its really hard to choose just one. But i love driving on a new track for the first time so keep them coming please thumbsup.gif
