Full Version: Two questions about VROC and GEM
SimRacing MZ > Grand Prix Legends > "Help! I'm having trouble with..."

Question number 1.)

What do the 4 different carsets for my 67's mean? I am sure they are trainers all the way up to a full out F1 car, but those letters mean nothing to me...

GPL FV
GPL FG
GPL FD
GPL ES

Question number 2.)

When I play GPL off line I have a yellow #88 Ferrari that I use. When I go to VROC or iGOR, my Ferrari reverts back to the original red Ferrari 312. Is there a way I can race the yellow Ferrari on-line? I am going to assume that even if I could race the yellow Ferrari on-line, know body else could see it.

I am sure some of you are rolling your eyes, but I just discovered GPL a month ago and I need a little help in the beginning. bye1.gif

You are quite right in that they are different levels as in F3 and F2 but which is which I don't know, but it doesn't bother me either tongue.gif. As long as it works it's fine by me... laugh.gif

There is, by copying that file 22(?) times and renaming it to the appropiate names that you can find by looking in your ferrari folder. Takes a while I would assume but as I've never done it myself I can't really say.

Bob Simpson
GPL FV is an F2 chassis with an F3 engine (2.0L race)
GPL FG is an F1 chassis with an F3 engine (2.0L race)
GPL FD is an F1 chassis with an F2 engine (2.5L race)
GPL ES is Formula Libre where you can place any of the 7 engines into any of the 7 chassis. For maximum speed, you'd chose the Brabham chassis (lightest and most aerodynamic) with the Honda engine (most powerful). There's a very low powered 2.0L street engine available too. You mix and match in the drop down menus under where the car picture would be on the right.

In GEM hit the carsets button and highlight the GPLFD or FG class and then one of the cars to see what engine is used. This doesn't work for the FL class, though.

I suppose I should try out those others. Only played with FL but forgot it was GPLES (confusing or what?) and found it to be great fun.
