I've received several PM's from people asking permission to use this or that horizon or building, etc. for an update/addon.

That's really nice and I appreciate the thought, but as often as i clean out my PM folder, I'm afraid i might miss one. Then that'd hold up the whole process, and then they'd also think i was ignoring them or something......

Anyway.

Consider this a blanket statement.

Anything that i should happen to make for this game, can be used by anyone for any update/addon as they see fit.
If you don't mention me in a readme file, I really couldn't care less.......
It would be "NICE" to mention the Zone or Repository, but even then, I doubt that anyone is really going to throw a hissy fit, if you don't.

There, that about covers it.

The RSC require

5.2 - Intellectual property created by non-commercial artists/editors/developers may be altered and redistributed only by the original author, or by persons who have explicit permission from the original author (either individual permission or blanket permission spelled out in a readme).

So Scotty is simply giving his explicit permission which conforms with the established precidents at RSC.

It is very generous of Scottie to waive permissions but hardly unique
