thankyou quattro, arturo and scotty. i've lobbied for an update to pau but no one came forward so i figured it was up to me. i've had some down time from my real racing due to county fair going on for last two weeks at the track and no racing. guess they figured the noise would scare all the animals to death. so, i got all the tree and grass and horizon from the repository, then borrowed the people from monaco and silverstone and the asphault from mexico and gyral. i made my own hedges and modified the grass textures and altered the tree row i borrowed from avus50's track plus made one tree mip my self. lots of fun and troublesum at times to get things looking right. only one place i found that the 3do for the tree row makes it look a little funky but everywhere else is fine. hard to notice if you're driving anyways. i'll post more screenies soon.

warning: this is a hi-rez update with some huge files. i have an alienware amd athlon 3200 xp with i gig ram and 256mb radion 9800pro vid card and i get no stubles at all even with full field of 1965 cars on max everything with 4x anistrophic filter at 1280x1024.

Yeah, it's already been done at RSC previously and nobody told Paul Jackson not to do it, I don't see how we could tell you not to do it. That thread also has piccies of the track. You can find it HERE.

This update looks very nice. IIRC it's been a while since you did any addons, thanks in advance.

The update looks fantastic and Pau was in need of an update by now. Now for mid/low range PCs, would it be possible to have a lite version ?? even in the future ??

i'm sure i can shrink textures to be at 256 x256 for low end computers although it may take away the quality of being in focus. but probably not to much as most files are 512x512 as it is. i can release both versions. hi rez first then the regular-rez after.

Thank you Jetman !! I;ve raced several times at Pau67 and some drivers had FPS problems with the original, so I guess that a mid to low resolution update will be very much appreciated
