Hi budmulla,
You guessed it: I'm using the usb version. My question to you: are you getting acceptable results anyway?

Thanks for posting your settings.
I have two questions:
1) Why did you choose to map front-back forces to wheel?
2) Did you try to optimise latency?
Thanks
Francesco

Thanks for the reply. I have tried my core.ini settings with "map front-back forces to wheel" both checked and unchecked. It's an irrelevancy as far as I can tell since it effects no noticeable change in the wheels response. I originally checked it on the off chance it would affect actions such as sudden braking, or acceleration - actions which would in reality would cause weight shifts along what would be the virtual world's z axis.
I'm not sure what you mean by optimising latency. I far as my virtual driving tastes go the settings are optimized. There is no lag between driver inputs and what one sees on the screen or game outputs and what one sees and feels.
If the settings are unsatisfactory to you it's no doubt the brake settings I suggest making at GPL's calibration screen. 45 is insanely hypersensitive. I had it set that way to correct my tendency to violently mash the brakes at the merest hint of contact with another car or at corner entry. Tommy Baldwin, Kasey Kahne's NASCAR crew chief, handed him a raw egg before practice at the 2004 UAW Chysler 400 at Las Vegas and told him to use his brakes as if the egg were between the pedal and the floor. A brake setting of 45 is like that egg. 80 is what I use now. Kasey Kahne came in second by the way. It was his rookie season. wink.gif
Hope that helps.

Correction 1/30/06:
80 is NOT what I use now, 80 isn't even possible! My mistake. Settings from 45 downward are more manageable settings. 20 is what I use now. oops.gifYou should have called me on that one!

Hooked, what brake setting are you meaning there? The calibration screen is used to set the range of your controllers. I don't see any settings as such. You can set brake bias in the car setup screen.
