Hi guys!

I'm setting up GTP again for the upcoming 24H race in June. I'd like to get v-sync working as I have in all my games but it doesn't take. I created a profile in nVidia's menu for NR2003.exe and also TMP.exe which seems to be the process used for GTP. Neither has any effect.

Any tips? Thanks!

Hi Sir (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I also use Nvidia drivers. There is a setting there that overrides all the particular settings of an application and uses only the current Nvidia settings. Perhaps this will help.

Have you raced the 24Hour before Remco?

I was in it last year and i thoroughly enjoyed it. But i'm afraid i've never tried v-sync with GTP. In fact as soon as played around with AA and AF settings GTP crashed so i left all that alone

Heh, thanks Art, but I'm aware of this of course. I was hoping for some kind of trick specific to GTP as it seems to use a different process than nr2003.exe which I expected. The v-sync option for this process, TMP.exe created by GTP_launcher, does not have any effect. I'd really love to get it working because I am by now so used to seeing 60fps synced to 60Hz that the 160fps of GTP now seems low as it is out of sync with the refresh.

Yeah, I drove and finished the GTP Le Mans 24H with WOSEC in 2005 and 2006. Those were the best weekends of my life! I was in the only Toyota team. As you will know the Toyota is the hardest to drive but also the most durable. The 2 out of 2 finishes are proof of that! In 2005 there were four of us but in 2006 I only had one team mate: BRM master Michiel Pompert! 2hrs on, 2hrs off for 24 hours, now thát's the real endurance experience! It looks like we'll have three drivers for this year.
I wasn't aware that there even was a 24H race in 2008! A real shame, I would have loved to be in it. When you settle into the rhythm through the night shift there is no better feeling in the world. All the n00bs have dropped out by then and putting in the laps becomes second nature... I can't wait! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Fantastic stuff! 2 hours on 2 hours off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Thats hardcore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

I got invited to drive in one of the Vader Trophy cars. They needed someone to cover the graveyard shift and i thought it sounded cool so agreed. I did an hour early on to get a feel for the car and then got back behind the wheel for what should have been 2 hours at 11pm. Because of technical problems with others i ended up driving until 5am straight. We finished the race though and ended up in 3rd i think. I don't know whether VT will be entering this year.

I definitely rank it in my top 10 sim racing moments ever.

11 to 5 stint? Brilliant! I'd love to put in a stint like that but in all fairness we'll share the load evenly.
As always, we'll be racing from one location. Adds a lot to the immersion factor! Also adds the stress of genuine driver swaps including seat adjustments and switching control sets (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Excellent (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif) Thats got to be the closest your going to get to the real thing and like you say swapping drivers in one location definitely adds to the immersion factor and makes it more difficult for the guy thats not used to the setup.

Unfortunately thats not possible because all us VT guys live so far apart but i like team driving, it puts on the added pressure to do well for your team mates. They were a bit nervous because i heel and toe and theres a lot of gear changes to fluff in a 24 hour race (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

So, any interest in running this year, Stewart? Good drivers are more than welcome!

Yes i think i would do it again, work permitting and if VT invited me to drive again. I would have to start practicing soon though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I participated in the last 3 editions, but with very bad luck. I drove for the AtlasF1 team. The best we did was 3 years ago, when we lasted for 11 hours and were running in 4th position, when the leadere was lapping our Sauber and he hitted our car from behind ... it ended against the fences and the engine lasted for a few laps after suffering damage.

I am not sure when the 24hrs will take place, but I will certainly try to drive if I can get enough co-drivers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

The very last GTP Le Mans 24H race is being held 27th June 2009 by OATAS:
