Do you have your GPL Installation on an other drive than C: ?

Had the prob that after the installation I had a Kyalnite folder on my GPL Installation ( on drive D: ) with only a few files and on my main drive C: a path \sierra\gpl\tracks\kyalnite with the Kyalnite.dat and all other files (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I should have searched my C: drive for the Kyalnite.dat before i posted  Thanks Swen i've found the track had installed itself where it shouldn't have so i've moved it into my GPL installation and it works now.

However Kyalnite is not OpenGL friendly, it crashes here unless i use D3D

Hi !

I found some "oversized" textures (53 all in all) in the *.dat. One of them are 2048x16. Maybe this makes problems with OpenGl ? I am not sure. I work on all oversized textures (reduce to 256x256) for my "prehistoric" Voodoo5 5500. But this during some days and need some testing.

Greetings

Achim

Hi !

Here i am again. In this week (saturday or sunday) i will do the final test with my "prehistoric" Voodoo with the new Kyalnite-track.

But i have some questions before (only questions, no critic):

First: Looking in the "kaylnite.dat" show me some "oversized"-mips. I had a bit of "Dejavue" for the "mega-update" for Kyalami i seen years before (e.g. 5 MB mip for asphalt, yline.mip in 2048x16, etc.) on RSC.

Second, i have after this a new look on the dl-page-pictures and see "there is no armco between pits and road" !!!!!! So i think, this track-version is not use the original Kyalami Papy-3do for constuction the nite-variante ? The variante without the armco at the pits is an early "patch" for the original Papy-Track ?

Greetings

Achim

EDIT: With great help of a friend from the GPL-community i solved all problems with Kyalami Nite and the track is running very well. Forget my questions and comments above.

A beauty Tommi. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif)

This one I found not so easy to drive though.
Kya is darker then (fore instance) Ridge Hill, and this make's it easyer to mis my breaking markers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
On the otherhand, my Kya time's have never been very good.

Thanks mate.

Looking foreward to see you doing "The Moon at night" some day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (just kidding).
