Presenting the Birmingham Superprix Circuit for GPL. The superprix was a once per year event run from 1986 to 1990 in Birmingham, UK. This is a representation of the circuit as it was with its various sponsors and corner names in 1989.
Click here for the project's webpages and download Thanks to Bill for hosting, and David Page for the webpage foreword (and of course Keith for all the various bits and pieces he does!) Happy lapping everyone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by pirenzo: Feb 26 2008, 11:01 AM |

Hi !
Many thanks for this track. I read the readme before i install it. I read the passage for the "completly voodoo-friendly" with high interest. I will test it on my poor Voodoo5-5500 system asap and report here. Greetings Achim |

LOL, don't take that too literally! I mean there are no oversize textures that will give you a CtD in the track.
I'd be interested to hear how it goes on your Voodoo card anyway! |

Hey, thanks Pirenzo. This is quite the pleasant surprise. I'd just discovered the track on Youtube, and I'll be sure to give it a try - looks like this might be among the best street tracks for GPL! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yahoo.gif)

Oh Cool!!!! You warned me that you'd be releasing it soon and it was worth the wait, i've just downloaded it and had a quick spin in the 67 Lotus with the default setup and your track is fantastic William (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) The bumps add a lot to the experience, very well done (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif)
Oh and it was very interesting watching the YouTube footage and then driving the track and believe it or not theres just been a sizable earthquake here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) |

Thanks for sharing this fantastic track! I love the way you´ve made the buildings, the shadows, the bumps... everything! Very very cool work. It must have been a helluva lot of work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shocking.gif)

wonderful track (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thanks.gif)
this had to be difficult to create with all the detail and long draw distances .... I get no popups and good frame rates with only minor stuttering, even at the back of the grid using the TC carset with 69 F1 physics .... it runs much better for me than Montjuic, for example .... even the AI is good, maybe a little awkward and slow thru the chicanes, but still very good you Brits must love this, as everything seems so accurate, from the real pics I have seen .... I'm a fan of street circuits and I hope your track might inspire someone else to update and/or even create from scratch some of the better, gone but not forgotten, North American street circuits, like Long Beach, Vancouver, Toronto and Tamiami Park in Miami .... they should use your track as a standard to meet very nice job Pirenzo, thank you |

Hi pirenzo !
Testing your new city-track today. Install Standard and hit the green button on my Voodoo5 5500-System: Works like a charm ! Great drive too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shocking.gif) Many thanks for your hard work. Greetings Achim |
