Tidge,
I did it and followed this approach: https://home.online.no/~bi-knu/editing/ai/ai.htm

Basically you do some laps and save them. Then you use rpy2lp (rpytolp) from NIgel and create the files for the AI. Then you tune them with AIEdit from Nigel (instead of LP-Edit). At least this was my start into doing the AI for my little oval (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The info at that site isn't exactly what AiEdit needs although it works (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I normally drive a race lap and a pits lap convert these to lp files and fire up AiEdit.
You don't need to have the exact speed, even a slow but accurate/realistic raceline and pit line will do.
AiEdit calculates the proper speeds for the car itself. You can let AiEdit create the min/max line (if your track.ini files are correct) I usually copy the race line for the pass1 & pass2 and create an offset of approx. +1.5 and -1.5 meters for the passing lines and try to get the passing lines as smooth as possible.

All my searches for the GPL unk4 utility have produced much discussion of the tool , but no downloads for the actual Tool itself.

Here, click on the text lines to have a more detailed description (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)

Thank you Ginetto. I can't thank you enough actually, you have been incredibly helpful from the day I started this project.

???!!!

The track (well... what I did to this moment) works fine,
but appears an odd dark from section 58 to section 73 of 74 sections.

(IMG:https://www.gplclub.com.ar/gpl/pna1_sombra.JPG)

Any hint?

Thanks.

Add more lines to your HSV file.

Just copy the last line you have about 20 more times.

The HSV file must have the same number of lines as there are sections in the track.

Thanks Border.
My previous tracks had less than 60 sections and the .hsv default that Ginetto gives me had 61 lines.
Now I made an 75 sections track and happens taht.
I add copy lines as you said and all ok again!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clapping.gif)

Now you can start experimenting with that file and make some color variation around (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

This great post and the fast that you replay, sometimes making grows in someones like me the temptation to use the easy way to ask you instaed of the way to try by my own where you need more effort but is more exciting.

I need a comment.

In order to do the things near reality, my start section looks like this:

(IMG:https://www.gplclub.com.ar/gpl/corners.JPG)

Im have serious doubts about the convenience of such many sections!

-To the begining of the 90 deg. street start in the main road:
(IMG:https://www.gplclub.com.ar/gpl/wide90degstreet.JPG)
I use 3 sections. It is a good idea or a fool idea?

Doesn't look bad to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I will make a little wider the 2 sections beside the 90° road to make more picture alike.

About curved sections, remember that is always more problematic to place 3do objects, never easy to place big things as houses; in the straight sections you can place an object long as the section without having clipping problems (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)
