Thanks so much for all youve done
Ive used the sound player years ago.
When I came back from my cave will try the head and the letterbox patch. Probably 55 mod release will do the trick. Real life will have to wait a bit!

Many thanks Lee for this site (immediately in my bookmarks!) and for all work about GPL! :thankyou: :thankyou:

A little signaling, in the "Suspension Information" the 1° figure is not visible, all other figures works correctly

Lee, in the section:

GPL Patch Information

Patches may be placed in three different locations and their utility is different with each:
 1. Mod Installation Directory/Mods/GEM+/Mod Physics Directory--the patch will always be used by this mod. Most mod patches use this method.

I would add: The first time that you place the patch here, make sure to delete the mod EXE (for example gplc67.exe) so that GEM can rebuild that mod EXE and apply the patch.

I'll add that note Bob.

Lalethor, you're correct that Figure 1 isn't showing for some reason on the website.  It shows on my build files though...???

Here it is until I can correct the error.

I also enjoyed the "about me" part of the page.  I didn't know you are a pilot and that you flew a F-4.  Very cool!

That was in another life.  Now I'm just a grumpy old grandfather.  :)

I am glad to read you aren't retiring from GPL Lee,

I can't see any changes using the Head Movement Patch for the in-cockpit view.

That's the ONLY view where there is no head movement.... because it's your head.

Use GPL Glance if you want the effect of your own head moving.

IIRC when the 55 Mod team tested the early version with player head movement, the Monza banking proved problematic in dealing with the angle of the banking.

I just hope that I can get the Sound Player to work again.  I had it installed for ages but it's gone MIA for some time now.  Can't say why.  Fingers X'd.

Good luck with Sound Player.  To be honest, I haven't used it in years so I'm not even sure it will work with later Windows versions.  It served a purpose when many people were making engine sounds as it allowed easy listening to each sound and swapping out sound sets.  But today, no one except Wolfgang makes sounds so it really isn't useful.
Maybe not public.
The sounds, Wolfgang created are very very realistic and high in quality, i like them!
I'm often editing sounds for my own pleasure only. Not really big changes. Most only using the equalizer to adjust the sound to my loudspeakers.
But i made the experience, that you can not hear inside the Sound Player like in GPL itself. This way is not really comfortable, i know.

You're welcome Ed.  I enjoy helping out.  :)

I believe Dave mentioned that one of the original versions of the Head Movement patch also moved the player's head for the in cockpit view.  It was a cool effect but some of our testers didn't like it as it made them a bit sick so I removed that feature.  I see though that some of the newer sims have this.

Is there a way the Weather patch can be modified to display a consistent amount of fog every time? I've tried some test sessions and I like how it feels when the fog is at max, but in those situations I can't even see the edge of the road.

It would also be nice to practice at a "wet" circuit which has a consistent amount of grip every time you go into a session.
