I saw in some post here a mention to a 1935 Grand Prix Season mod for gpl, is it being worked on?

Hey all,
After many years away from GPL I decided to get up to date with the new patches and cool stuff and run it on my windows10 desktop. Things are fantastic, frame rate is perfect and everything's great...except...I get random complete lock ups during races. I'll be driving and without warning the screen locks up and sound continues to play unchanged at the time of lockup. It's happened on multiple tracks so isn't tied to that. I'm running the 1969 carset setup with GEM+. The only mod I've checked is for "No Letterbox"...Running OpenGLV2...
Am I missing a windows10 GPL patch or setting or something that addresses this?
I'm running full graphics details with a Thrustmaster T150 wheel/pedal combo. System has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super with the latest driver, Intel i7-9700@3.60GHz, 64GB Ram.
Any help would be appreciated!
